BHCK uses a flexible delivery approach. This refers to a range of learning strategies in a variety of environments that cater for different learning styles, interests and needs. Courses are delivered by a variety of teaching methods that may include: - Classroom delivery
- Specialist classroom delivery
- Group work
- Self-paced learning
- Supervised on-the-job experience
Assessment Methods A range of assessment methods are used, depending on the nature of the work being studied. In many courses assessment is ‘competency based’, meaning that the successful completion of a course requires demonstration of competency to a workplace standard. For other subjects a graded assessment will be given. Assessment may include: tests, written examinations, projects (group or individual), oral presentation, and practical demonstrations. Results and Awards A statement of results is issued to all students on completion of each semester. For units not satisfactorily completed, you may have the opportunity to undergo re-assessment at the end of the semester. If not, you will be required to re-enroll in the subject the following semester and pay additional tuition fees. On successful completion of your program, your award will be given directly from Box Hill TAFE.
